The tour of Bryan Adams is: "So Happy It Hurts Tour 2024".
It was my 17th Bryan Adams show. My 1st one was in December 13, 1991 in Estádio José de Alvalade, Lisbon.

I arrived at MEO Arena at 05:15 am. I was the 1st one to arrive to the queue. Talked to my old friends during the day. Doors opened at 19:30 and I run to the middle of the catwalk (just stayed about 1 or 2 meters from the middle to the left) and Bryan Adams was scheduled to start at 21:00.

There was an intro of 15 minutes that started at 20:59 where a flying car (powered by drones) was flying over the Arena above the public with some audio songs by Bryan Adams in the background.

Finally was time for Bryan Adams. He started at 21:13 and played 145 minutes. Played a set of 29 songs.

Love the concert. Bryan Adams always happy, talked a lot about his time in Birre when he was little with his family. Telling a lot of stories on this show even showing old slides from the times he was here in Portugal.

The tour of Bryan Adams is: "So Happy It Hurts Tour".
It was my 15th Bryan Adams show, all here in Lisbon. My first Bryan Adams show was in December 13, 1991 in Estádio José Alvalade.

Bryan Adams was scheduled to start at 21:00.
For this show I bought the ticket on Thursday, 2021/October/14 in FNAC, Connect Saldanha, Lisbon, Portugal. "Plateia em Pé".

After almost 2 years of this crazy Pandemic we just got a live show here in Lisbon. This concert was like a test for us. We had to show a vaccine prove or a negative test. I show them both. Bryan Adams was in Gondomar on the day before. And then was this Lisbon show in Altice Arena. More then 16000 people were there.

I arrived at Altice Arena at 6 am. Was a sunny and cold day. Was with my friends during the day. We got inside around 7 pm and I run to the front row, stayed in front of Keith Scott.

Finally was time for Bryan Adams. He started at 21:27 and played 133 minutes. Played a set of 27 songs.
Band: Bryan Adams (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Keith Scott (lead guitar, backing vocals), Gary Breit (keyboards, backing vocals), Solomon Walker (bass, backing vocals) and Pat Steward (drums, backing vocals).

Love the concert and the setlist was freaking awesome with some fan requests.
He played 3 of the new songs.

Bryan Adams live again in my town.
The tour name is: Shine A Light Tour.
My 14th Bryan Adams live concert all in Lisbon, first show I saw from him was in 1991 in the old Alvalade Stadium.

A long day. I arrived at Altice Arena at 7:30 am, still at night.
I was with my Bryan Adams portuguese friends. Some got in with me on the right side of the Arena and others went to the left side.
Some cold and sunny day.
We got inside at 7:30 pm. I made it to the middle of front row just in front of Bryan Adams.

Finally was time for Bryan Adams. He started the show at 21h19 and played 29 songs for 127 minutes.
One of the best shows I ever saw by Bryan Adams. Bryan Adams always happy to be back in Portugal. Speaking between songs and even spoke some portuguese words. This time he show us photos of him when he lived in "Birre" near Cascais, was awesome to see those photos from 1966 to 1970. The last photo he showed was from the beach in Guincho with 2 kids playing. And said it was his kids and that he took the photo on that day (day of the concert).

Artista canadiano tocou aquela, aquela… E mais aquela. E renovou os votos de amor eterno com o público português: não saiu um fã desapontado do Parque das Nações

Apresentar um alinhamento de 20 e tal canções e manter o público nas pontas do pés (e no limite dos pulmões) não é para qualquer um. Bryan Adams, claro, não é “qualquer um” para o público português. Num regresso a palcos nacionais cravejado de êxitos, o músico canadiano deu largas à voz rouca que se tornou sua imagem de marca (e que soube manter jovial até hoje) perante uma MEO Arena bastante bem composta, recheada de fãs de hoje e de ontem (casais enamorados, pais com filhos e as eternas apaixonadas) que não hesitaram no momento de responder aos impulsos de dançar, gritar e bater palmas a compasso (e, à boa maneira portuguesa, a descompasso também). Tudo isto em duas horas certinhas e limpinhas, durante as quais o músico conseguiu mostrar canções de Get Up!, o álbum que editou em outubro passado, e não deixar um só êxito por tocar (vá, vá… já ninguém se lembra de “Please Forgive Me”).

Num palco sóbrio, sem grandes artifícios, com um jogo de luzes humilde, Adams abriu a noite com “Do What Ya Gotta Do”, tema novo que passou no teste especialmente porque foi servido naquele momento em que o entusiasmo inicial permite que os artistas saiam incólumes de praticamente tudo. Mesmo sendo um tema desconhecido dos menos atentos, o pavilhão inteiro levantou-se para receber o músico de braços abertos, explodindo pouco depois quando, sabiamente, este lhes atira com a enérgica “Can’t Stop This Thing We Started”. O eco demoníaco que assombra praticamente todos os concertos naquela sala deu, então, um ar de sua graça, mas rapidamente nos abstraímos dele com a histeria provocada por “Run to You”, momentos depois. O sucesso de 1984 mantém-se, na versão de palco, completamente inalterado e o público agradece com ovação gigantesca.

A hora que se seguiu foi um verdadeiro desfile de êxitos: das baladas “Heaven” (é que nem precisou de cantar), “When You’re Gone” (servida a solo, com guitarra acústica) e “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You” (corações a ferver e um ou dois isqueiros acesos para manter a tradição, entre os milhentos flashes de telemóveis) aos mais aguerridos “It’s Only Love”, “Somebody” e, claro, “Summer of ’69” (provavelmente a mais aplaudida da noite), passando até por singles que o tempo foi fazendo esquecer, como “Kids Wanna Rock” ou “Lonely Nights”, que Adams disse ter sido muito pedida nas redes sociais. É um músico generoso, não se fazendo rogado na hora de partilhar o protagonismo com os companheiros de banda - há solo de bateria em “Kids Wanna Rock” e a guitarra rasgada da “arma secreta” Keith Scott em “It’s Only Love”.

“Preciso de uma mulher selvagem que saiba dançar”, diz a dada altura, encetando de seguida uma busca que terminaria num top branco: “fica aí. Podes dançar aí”. E a Joana não se armou em esquisita, dançando com o holofote fixado nela até o sedutor “If Ya Wanna Be Bad Ya Gotta Be Good” terminar. Uma verdadeira serenata para uma mulher de aliança no dedo. “Onde está o teu marido?”, questiona o músico “está a trabalhar? Joga futebol, claro… É português”. O momento de interação segue com mais um disco pedido (“há um cartaz ali e outro ali a pedir esta”) - “Here I Am”, gravado para o filme de animação Spirit (2002). Fazendo jus à fama de romântico incurável, seguiu viagem com “I’ll Always Be Right There” (dueto de guitarra acústica) e depois mais um tema de uma banda sonora (Don Juan) servido com guitarra emprestada por nuestros hermanos: “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?” trazia consigo, em 1995, o flamenco de Paco de Lucía.

A caminho do encore, houve ainda tempo para um trio de sucessos separados por mais de uma década: primeiro, voltamos aos 80s com o velhinho (e muito celebrado) “Cuts Like a Knife”, depois corremos para meados dos 90s ao som de “18 Til I Die” (Peter Pan tinha de ter o seu hino) e de “The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You”. Vénia de grupo e os músicos abandonam o palco. O público, obviamente, exige o regresso. E o encore partiu do presente (“Brand New Day” foi o single que antecipou a edição de Get Up!) - e na tela que fundeia o palco, vemos Theo Hutchcraft dos Hurts a enxotar a atriz Helena Bonham Carter (podia ser completamente random, mas é mesmo o teledisco) -, seguindo por uma versão de “C’mon Everybody” de Eddie Cochran para finalmente explodir de emoção quando o músico recorda os anos que passou em Birre “entre Cascais e Sintra” em criança (“foi aqui que comecei a interessar-me por música”, diz, entre elogios ao povo português e ao fado e antes de falar do amigo que lhe mostrou os Beatles). A dupla de canções guardada para o final, já com Adams sozinho em palco, puxou bem ao sentimento: “Straight from the Heart” e “All for Love” foram uma boa despedida de um concerto que serviu para o músico canadiano e os fãs portugueses renovarem os votos de amor eterno.

This song has a great story. The first time I saw this video was on a morning waiting in Pavilhão Atlântico on a Bryan Adams live show day. 2 portuguese friends living in London show me the video and told me that they were in the video.
The video was shot in London and my 2 friends appear near the shot and Bryan Adams ask them if they want to appear on the video. Of course they accepted.
They are in the discoteque with many models that you can see in the video. They don't appear on the video but they were there in the crowd.

I went to Rock In Rio to see Bryan Adams (for the 12th time) live.

It was a big day for me arriving at Rock In Rio very early. Many of my friends arrived also early.

Before Bryan Adams in Rock In Rio, Lisbon played The Gift and Joss Stone.

The first band was The Gift. They played for 54 minutes.
They are a portuguese band and this was the first time I saw them live. They were nice.

Finally was time for Bryan Adams. He started the show at 22h05 and played for 100 minutes.

What an amazing show it was. I was front row on the right side with many of my friends. I liked when Bryan Adams chose from the audience one girl that was behind me. That girl was Vanessa a portuguese singer that I like. She sang with Bryan the usual duet song "When You're Gone". She was really good like I was expecting. Bryan Adams at the end of the song ask her if she was a pro a little amazed about how good she was.

Bryan Adams, 2011-12-15 - Pavilhão Atlântico, Lisbon

Arrive there at 06h45 in the morning and already there were 3 girls there. I knew one Ana Matos. Had known her at optimus alive to 30 Seconds To Mars.

Near 08h00 started coming my friends that I knew fanatics by Bryan Adams including 2 of my London friends Carla and Cris (super fans of Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi and Duran Duran).

During the day many people were coming slowly because it was a weekday. Around 17h00 was when a lot of people began to arrive. And as you know this show was already sold out for three months. Around 20,000 people were at the Atlantic Pavilion.

We get inside close to 19h00. And Bryan Adams began playing at 21h12, ended at 23h33, played 26 songs.

Between the time we entered 19h00 and till the concert started at 21h12, the RFM had a DJ playing music ROCK. And the GIANT screen behind the stage were passing the TWEETS of everyone who put the Twitter login of Bryan Adams which is @BryanAdams. I sent several messages on twitter with login BA who passed the screen. Including some messages to Neusa and Estela. I know they saw it because they also replied in tweet and were on the screen, hehe. I met several friends of mine who were tweeting on the big screen, some in the first balcony, others in the second balcony and even others behind me on the floor.

Was funny reading the tweets of the fans, from marriage proposals to divorces and even accepting the proposals, hehe. And of course many tweets to ask Bryan to play this or that song. I sent a tweet to login dj RFM asking Bon Jovi and then we on the front row asked the DJ to look back, he looked up and saw my request. Hehe. Immediately afterwards played Bon Jovi and a little later put another song of Bon Jovi. I think first were "You Give Love A Bad Name" and then "Livin On A Prayer" (rock versions).

Occasionally the DJ started to put songs from BRYAN ADAMS but as he could not play them he stop immediately. But whenever he put a few seconds of the beginning of BA songs all the audience started to make noise.

I was the first to get inside Pavilhão Atlântico and choose the middle of front row, hehe. I have awesome photos. Have 90 photos and 16 videos of 17 songs. The videos are very good. This time I don't have the videos on youtube for you guys seeing as Bryan Adams had asked a company to not let anyone put it on youtube videos shot by fans. It was the first time this has happened to me. It took me over 5 hours to put the 16 videos on youtube and after two warnings I had to deleted them from my channel because my youtube account could be suspended. I'm sorry you can not see them because they are very good.

This concert was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1991 album "Waking Up The Neighbours" so he played more songs from that album.

By the way a detail that I think a lot of people did not know. When Bryan Adams marked this concert December 15, a few weeks later marked a new date for the 16th. The 16th was also on his official site and all the 2 dates (also for only a day). But this concert December 16 had to be canceled because one of the band members (who I do not know who it was) could not be present so Bryan Adams chose not to mark the new date.

Finally was time for Bryan Adams. He played for 141 minutes.
It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen of Bryan Adams. It was really excellent.

Some details about some songs:

14. (Everything I Do) I Do It For You
Bryan Adams sang in the middle of the stage with a laser focus coming from up the stage and surround him. He always played inside the circle of the laser and from time to time put his hand out of the laser and the effect was very nice.

18. When You're Gone
As usual in this music Bryan Adams always calls a girl from the public. This time called one tiny but very cute blonde on the right side (for those who see the stage from the front) of the first balcony or the audience. The girl said it was from Coimbra. Bryan Adams asked her if she really knew how to sing the song and she said yes. It was really nice because she sang all the lyrics without mistakes. She jumped several times and in the end Bryan Adams grabbed her with the guitar between them. And offered her and her friends merchandising stuff. At the end BA asked her if she had a boyfriend and she said no and turned to the audience and told her she had many choices here.

Keith Scott (guitarist) was really excellent. On several songs "played" with the guitar. Threw it to his back, played on top of his head, even lying on the floor and legs in the air, it was funny, hehe. Bryan Adams and Keith Scott in many songs were playing on the sides of the stage almost on the first balcony.

Mickey Curry (drums) on one song went to the front of the drums with pots (as Bryan said it was the kitchen of Mickey), haha. Very cool. Keith Scott also played alongside Mickey Curry in pots and Bryan and another guitarist were on the other side just laughing. But Mickey Curry gave it all there. Spectacular.

Before "Straight from the Heart" Bryan made ​​a great speech (I have the full speech and the music in video). The speech was telling some usual things. But this time he said some more things. First said he had lived here (as you know lived in Birre, near Cascais by chance near one of the houses of my father). He began to tell the story of the first time he played here in Portugal in a small club and then the second time in the Benfica Stadium (these were the unique 2 times I have not seen here in Lisbon). After that I've seen him 11 times (always in Lisbon, counting this show) starting in 1991 in the old Alvalade Stadium. Ending in Maxime in 2008 and now at the Atlantic Pavilion in 2011.

Bryan Adams: concerto no Pavilhão Atlântico, em dezembro, está esgotado

Já não há bilhetes para o regresso do cantor canadiano a Portugal, no final do ano.

O concerto de Bryan Adams no Pavilhão Atlântico, em Lisboa, já está esgotado.

O espetáculo, anunciado em julho, acontece a 15 de dezembro e deverá começar pelas 21h00.

Esta tarde, a promotora do espetáculo, a Ritmos e Blues, anunciou que "os bilhetes para o concerto de Bryan Adams estão oficialmente esgotados".

Os bilhetes custavam entre 30 euros e 45 euros.

A última passagem de Bryan Adams pelo Pavilhão Atlântico, em 2005, deu origem à gravação do DVD Live in Lisbon.

Em 2008, Bryan Adams deu, também, um concerto intimista no cabaré Maxime, em Lisboa. Recorde aqui a reportagem e as fotos dessa atuação.

On the 7th of March, 2008 I went to see Bryan Adams for the 10th time.

This time was a very special free concert on a little disco with about 350 people. The entrance was by invitation. And the show started after 17h00.

Bryan played for 43 minutes alone. It was really an incredible experience.

11 CDs, 11 songs, 11 concerts in 11 countries in 11 days. Starting in Lisbon of course.

The new CD named "11" was released on the 17th of March all over the world. So that means that the show was 10 days before the release of the new CD.
This new CD named "11" has amazing 11 new songs. The sound of the CD has an acoustic flavor.
