The tour of 30 Seconds To Mars is: "Seasons Tour".
It was my 7th 30 Seconds To Mars show.
The concert was awesome. With Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Stephen "Stevie" Aiello - bass, guitars, keyboards, backing vocals (2013–present).
The Seasons Tour is the seventh world tour by American rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars in support of their most recent album It's the End of the World, But It's a Beautiful Day. It was announced on November 9, 2023 just after frontman Jared Leto became the first person to legally climb the Empire State Building in New York City. It began on March 14, 2024 in Santiago, Chile at Lollapalooza and will end on September 19, 2024 in Auckland, New Zealand. The first non-festival show of the tour is in Krakow, Poland.
I arrived at the Altice Arena at 05:40 am.
First one to arrive.
We queue on the shadow of the trees just a few meters outside the pavillion. Cool day with friends.
At 6:30 pm we got in. I was a little worried because I didn't know how many VIPs with early entry there were. But I got lucky. I saw occupied spaces on the right side of the catwalk but in front of the catwalk it was almost all empty. I was 1 or 2 meters away from the middle in front of the catwalk that had some stairs.
Before "30 Seconds To Mars" in Altice Arena, played Jaguar Twin, he played 31 minutes.
I had never heard of him. I didn't really like what I heard. He was sincere in some situations but his music isn't really my thing.

Finally was time for 30 Seconds To Mars. They played 119 minutes (93 minutes + encore of 26 minutes) with a 6 minute break before the encore.
It was a great show. Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Stephen "Stevie" Aiello.
Jared Leto always moving everywhere. A lot of energy. Jared speaking some Portuguese every now and then is always cool.
On "Closer To The Edge" the final song Jared called on stage the fans. This time I was lucky. And got in to the stage. Just went to the middle of the stage to see everything. Always a cool experience. I saw Jared, even Shannon just in front of me. And Steve also passed by me on the stage.
Crazy moments. Took a few photos, crazy photos from the stage. Amazing memories that will stay forever.

The tour of 30 Seconds To Mars is: "The Monolith Tour".
It was my 6th 30 Seconds To Mars show. Last show of the European Tour.
The concert was awesome. This time with Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Stephen "Stevie" Aiello (guest bass and keyboard player).
I arrived at the Altice Arena around 13:00.
Around 14:00 I got in the Backstage Area to the Meet And Greet with Jared Leto and Shannon Leto. Our host was Shayla. She was cool with us. Always trying to help us.
Received the VIP Merchandise I had The "Kings And Queens" Package.
They gave us some pizza vegan or pepperoni. I went to the pepperoni one. So good. With water. Ok!
16:00 time to finally see Jared and Shannon, the Leto brothers. They talked to us, around 150 people and replying to some questions. They also told us a few of their stories. They still talked about coming here again to Portugal in the summer of 2019. But they are still looking for places. But maybe a Camp Mars Europe.
I took the photo with Shannon and Jared. Cool photo, a rock photo. Jared told me "ah, the rock guy", haha. On the Meet and Greet before I told them I like rock and even metal.
Before "30 Seconds To Mars" in Altice Arena, played Xande, he played 31 minutes.
I like his sound. The columns on my side were not good. Was not a good experience. But I actually liked to hear his music.
Finally was time for 30 Seconds To Mars. They played 87 minutes.
It was a great show. The band is not the same again. This time is Jared Leto, Shannon Leto and Stephen "Stevie" Aiello.
On the "Rescue Me" song Jared stopped and called on stage a portuguese singer named Diogo Piçarra to finish the song with him. Was like a big surprise.
On the "Walk On Water" Jared stopped again to help a fan. He asked for the people to open space in the middle for a security to go there help the fan. And then did the rest of the song.
On "Closer To The Edge" the final song Jared called on stage the fans. This time I was not so lucky. I was already on my way to the stage on the right side and the security of the band stop everyone right on the time I was on the stairs to the stage. The stage was full already. I had to run to the front of the stage and got the end of the song. Still took a few photos on that time.

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has set the DC Comics fan world a-buzzing after an interview with Total Film [via DC Vertigo Daily] in which he speaks of Jared Leto's performance as the Joker in almost messianic terms.
Leto, the Oscar-winning actor and frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars, was tapped back in 2014 to play the iconic role in Warner Bros.' film featuring iconic DC Comics supervillains. Of the opportunity to play such a legendary character already immortalized by the likes of Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, Leto told Billboard last year, "to take on this nearly Shakespearean character -- that's what graphic novels and comic books are becoming, right? [He's] this beautiful disaster of a character -- what a big challenge."
Ayer describes the experience of watching Leto-as-Joker as one in which "the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
"What Jared has done is absolutely incredible," he gushes. "When he steps onto the set the world stops. Everything stops. What he’s done is so powerful, so menacing, so palpable, you can feel him. The crew stops working and just watches him. I have to get everybody going again because he’s so fascinating."
Fans will have to wait until the film's official release date of Aug. 5 to see it for themselves.

An all-star roster of actors has joined new action adventure Suicide Squad, bringing DC Comics’ super villain team to the big screen under the direction of David Ayer (“Fury”).
The film will star two-time Oscar nominee Will Smith (“The Pursuit of Happyness,” “Ali,” “Focus”) as Deadshot; Joel Kinnaman (“Run All Night”, “Robocop”) as Rick Flagg; Margot Robbie (“The Wolf of Wall Street,” “Focus,” upcoming the “Tarzan” movie) as Harley Quinn; Oscar winner Jared Leto (“Dallas Buyers Club,” “Alexander”) as the Joker; Jai Courtney (“Divergent,” “The Water Diviner”) as Boomerang; and Cara Delevingne (“Anna Karenina,” “Pan”) as Enchantress.
Ayer is also writing the script for Suicide Squad, which is being produced by Charles Roven (“The Dark Knight” trilogy, upcoming “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”) and Richard Suckle (“American Hustle”). Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Colin Wilson and Geoff Johns are serving as executive producers.
For his Oscar-winning role in Dallas Buyers Club, Jared Leto lost 30 pounds, shaved his entire body, and refused to break character while filming the drama. And for his follow-up role in the upcoming Suicide Squad, Leto reportedly took his transformation into the iconic super-villain The Joker just as seriously.
In a new interview, Leto’s co-star Will Smith, who plays Deadshot, reveals that Leto completely disappeared into his character so much so that Smith still doesn’t know what Leto, the actor, is like in real life.
“[Suicide Squad] is insane,” Smith said in a Beats 1 interview Monday (via Complex). “I’ve never actually met Jared Leto. We worked together for six months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be ‘Hey, Jared. What’s up?’ He was all in on the Joker.”
This summer, Leto and Smith’s Suicide Squad cast mate Adam Beach, who plays Slipknot, revealed that Leto sent out gifts in character as well.
“He sent [Margot Robbie] a nice love letter with a black box with a rat in it—a live rat,” Beach told E!. “It was beautiful. Then he sent bullets to Will [Smith] with a letter.”
According to Beach, Leto also sent the cast a video and a “dead hog.” Beach explained of the cryptic gestures, “Basically, what he said was, ‘Guys, I can’t be there but I want you to know I’m doing my work as hard as you guys. . . . The video he showed is in character. It blew our minds away. Then we realized that day, this is real.”
Leto isn’t the first character to disappear into the role of The Joker. While filming The Dark Knight, Heath Ledger kept a diary of the character. Ledger’s father, Kim, has has since revealed, “He pretty well locked himself up in a hotel, in his apartment, for a month or so, to sort of galvanize the upcoming character in his own mind. . . . That was typical of Heath on any movie. He would certainly immerse himself in the upcoming character. I think this was just a whole new level.”

I can exclusively reveal that PETA has named the Oscar winner and the Juno star as the winners of this year's Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity contest.
Leto triumphed over Joaquin Phoenix, Samuel L. Jackson, Peter Dinklage and Woody Harrelson.
Page beat out Ariana Grande, Jessica Paré, Laura Prepon and Sarah Silverman.
When British GQ recently asked Leto how he stays so young looking, he said, "I'm pretty healthy so I think that helps a lot. I've been that way for a long time—20 solid years of eating vegetarian/vegan and taking care of myself."

The Dallas Buyers Club star also said he doesn't eat dairy because he thinks it's, quite simply, "disgusting."

Jared Leto is a free agent.
Fresh off his Oscar win for Best Supporting Actor last month, the singer/actor is feeling freshly confident about his day job as frontman of rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars.
30STM has recently parted ways for good with Virgin Records/EMI, Leto confirms to Billboard, a label with whom the group has a tumultuous history -- including a $30 million lawsuit. All the gory details are chronicled in the documentary “Artifact,” airing April 26 on VH1 and Palladia at 11 p.m. eastern.
Though the film is based on the fraught period that led to the making of 30STM's 2010 album, “This Is War,” the band is newly unsigned after fulfilling its contract with 2013’s “Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams” -- and better for it, Leto says.
“We’re free and clear and excited about the future,” he says on the phone from Los Angeles, on a brief break from 30STM’s exhaustive touring schedule. “It’s the most wonderful place to be.”
“Artifact,” which Leto also directed, pulls no punches about the realities of the modern music business, particularly the ill-fated sale of Virgin’s parent company EMI to investor Guy Hands. Leto and bandmates Shannon Leto and Tomo Milicevic appear throughout the film, alongside powerful industry figures like the band’s manager Irving Azoff, Beats Music CEO Ian Rogers, music journalist Bob Lefsetz, producer Flood and fellow frontmen like Incubus’ Brandon Boyd and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington.
With the band already more than $2 million in debt heading into the making of “This Is War,” 30STM was seeking to exit its 9-year-old contract with EMI under a California Labor Code that permits entertainers to terminate contracts after seven years.
ARTIFACT - OFFICIAL TRAILER (Thirty Seconds To Mars Documentary)
Though plenty of criticism is leveled at major record labels throughout the documentary for their outdated business models, Leto says “Artifact” is “not anti-record label, it’s anti-greed. It’s about artists examining the difficulty between the conflict of art and commerce, how corruption can kill dreams.”
He recently spoke with the frontman of an un-named “huge band,” who was excited to be recording the last album of the group’s current contract. “What a strange business that you’re more excited to leave your label than you are to be working there,” Leto says.
With streaming music services like Pandora, Spotify, iTunes Radio and Beats Music still on the rise, Leto is cautiously optimistic a new business model is in the works for the industry, even as those services continue to sort out their economics and royalty rates for artists.
“We’re all trying to figure out ways to share our music with the world, in new and exciting ways that don’t force us to have to sign some convoluted record contract that’s designed to keep us terminally in debt for centuries,” he says.
In the meantime, 30STM will continue to be tireless touring musicians, enough to have already set the Guiness World Record for most live shows played in support of one album (more than 300). Though all that roadwork has helped supplement the limited income brought in from recorded music, Leto hopes other bands in similar situations as his in 2010 will take heed from “Artifact.”
“We weren’t the Rolling Stones or some supergroup, otherwise maybe we could afford to battle a corporation for some time," he says. "We were a small band who had a little bit of success who believed in the fight for fairness. Hopefully, the technology industry and the labels will continue to take a look at how they operate and make deals and realize there’s plenty to go around.”

Earlier this week, Jared Leto bemoaned his lack of a summer vacation, a fact due in no small part to his job as director on Thirty Seconds to Mars' "Do or Die" music video.
But, as it turns out, he can't put all the blame on that clip. After all, as is often the case with him, Leto was actually pulling double duty during the filming of "Do or Die," shooting a second Mars music video ... this one for the track "City of Angels." And, from the sound of things, this one's gonna be epic.
"I'm making two videos at once. I've been working on 'City of Angels' while I was shooting 'Do Or Die,' " he said. "It's our new single here in the States, it's a very important song, a very personal song.
"It's also a longer song, and while I'm still figuring out what [the video] needs, it will certainly feature a couple of pieces of music, minimum," he continued. "So, yes, it's going to be another Thirty Seconds to Mars short film; it's going to be powerful and emotional and definitely something special."
And for a guy whose past credits include shooting a mini-movie for "From Yesterday" in China, pushing boundaries with the hyper-sexualized "Hurricane" and employing an army of extras and animals for "Up in the Air," that's saying something.
What Leto wouldn't say was just when "City of Angels" would be finished — "sooner rather than later," was about as specific as he'd get — but he did let MTV News in on his band's plans for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, where they're up for three Moonmen, including Best Rock Video. And it probably won't surprise you to learn they're going to try and top their arrival at the 2010 show, when they stormed the red carpet with a bevy of bikers.
"Well I would like to maybe replicate the 'Up in the Air' artwork," he laughed. "Wouldn't it be great if we showed up with a zebra? It could be pretty amazing."
A zebra would be pretty amazing indeed. Just don't try to ride it, Jared.

Jared Leto had plans for a summer vacation. Instead, he ended up making a music video.
"It was going to be the first-ever planned summer vacation of my entire adult life. I blacked out the time and said I was going to do it, and then, lo and behold, it went from an overzealous three weeks, to two weeks, then a week, then five days, then nothing," he laughed. "But, in exchange, I have this beautiful little film. I got these experiences with these people I'll never forget, so it's a fine trade-off for me."
That "beautiful little film" is Thirty Seconds To Mars' "Do Or Die," the spiritual sequel to their stirring 2010 live clip for "Closer to the Edge." It was filmed during the band's globe-spanning summer tour, and, like "Closer," features heart-wrenching interviews with members of the Echelon.
So, in a sense, it is a love-letter to Mars' fans ... but, as is often the case with this band, "Do Or Die" is also something more.
"So much has changed about us, about our audience, about our shows, so I wanted that to be a part of it, also. Most of the interviews, I did myself, so they're really intimate. It's me, it's them, and it's the camera," Leto explained. "What I've found is, that if you talk to everybody long enough, you find an incredible story. Every single person has a moment in their life, something that they've found a solution for, a story to tell. Some are funny, some are really intriguing, and if you ask the right questions, you get interesting answers."
One of the most touching moments comes at the very beginning of the video, where Leto speaks with a German fan he'd previously met in Berlin, who told him that his father had recently passed away ... and he'd played a Thirty Seconds To Mars song at his funeral.
Weeks later, almost by chance, Leto ran into him once again, at a Mars show in Austria. And, on a whim, he decided to have him tell his story once again, this time on camera. And though he'd interview hundreds of fans at Mars' shows over the next few months, this story stuck with him throughout. Which is why he chose it to lead off the new video.
"At the show in Austria, where there were tens of thousands of people, and I ran into him and interviewed him; he was the first interview of the summer, and he shared this story about losing his father, and what it taught him, it was really an organic and serendipitous and beautiful way to begin," Leto said. "He shared a really personal part of himself and we're really grateful to him, and that continued throughout all the interviews ... this is basically a document to how we spent our summer; not just us, but all of our amazing fans."

I’m sitting in the dark writing this having just finished this little film and although I don’t feel quite done yet it’s time to let it go.
This is a story about an incredible adventure that we all shared together this summer. A summer that we will never forget. It’s also a reminder (for myself as well) to LIVE LIFE NO MATTER WHAT. But ultimately it’s a love letter to you all. The believers.
Even before I started shooting I thought of it as a companion piece to Closer To The Edge, a sequel of sorts, the next chapter. I knew it had to be special as Closer is held in such high regard by you all. So we worked hard. And then worked even harder. Sharing this journey with you all has been the gift of a lifetime and I hope you can see and feel that in this piece…our gratitude. It was difficult to surrender this one. I wanted to keep filming, continue the interviews, discover more, learn more and stay on the journey. But it was time and here it is. I hope it speaks to all of you and lets you know how much you mean to us.
While the band is having a short break during their promotional worldwide tour for their new album « Love Lust Faith + Dreams », officially released on 21st May, a new controversy arises in the columns of some well-meaning musical magazines.
Indeed, in an official announcement released on July 23 on the band’s official website, fans were asked to participate in the shooting of the video for the upcoming Mars single « Do or Die », but this was in a very special way.
The band offers its fans to get a tattoo of some of the lyrics of the song, make a video of the tattoo processing and send the film that has been done to make it appear in the video for « Do or Die » .
The wait was not long before a wind of revolt was blown on the web! Some people rebelling against this « criminal » or « irresponsible » idea of Thirty Seconds to Mars.

Leto, director of the band’s videos, is, of course, the first target to hit. He is the frontman of the band after all, and he is a master in
filling this role no matter what.
He is described as a rare tyrant towards his fans, asking the impossible and exercising a kind of emotional blackmail on his troops to make them participate in his next video.
Jared Leto is a monster of selfishness, only concerned by his own little person, his glory, his fame, his money and lives far from reality in his beautiful house on the Hills in Los Angeles. This is a fact, of course, and the music industry professionals are so aware of that….
Jared is a good guy, and some continue to ignore that he has feelings too. It would be good to put things in their right place and … give to Caesar what is Ceasar’s.
When we read what is written in this official announcement a little more carefully, it’s easy to notice (when you can speak basic English) that the mention of a « permanent » tattoo is never mentioned. This simply suggests that future graphic work can be done ephemeral, henna, ink, … everything that can be washed after shooting the video.
Mentioning the name of the tattoo artist? Yes, allright, if he is running the drawing, it is normal that it is known. And yes, there are renowned tattoo artists who make temporary tattoos.
Fans can do what they want without endangering neither themselves nor their future.
The controversy is dead and buried.
Well almost, because some took the opportunity to put on the table, and for the umpteenth time, the price of what the band calls the « Adventures in Wonderland » tickets. Those are VIP concert tickets to meet and greet the band before the show. These tickets are the sinews of war, the busybody, the thing that irritates the world. So much ado about nothing.
These tickets are expensive, that’s true, and as Jared said many times (« drooled » would be appropriate, but he was asked the question so often that unfortunately he has no other choice), the money raised with these special tickets can pay the concert security and allow the normal tickets to be less expensive for the audience.
Which same sized band can sell EUR35 a concert ticket to his fans today? Not much … except Thirty Seconds to Mars.
As for merchandising, a subject on which Leto is often attacked again, why focus on it? Do people criticized the merchandising of Michael Jackson? Madonna? Lady Gaga? Beyoncé? Rihanna? No, so why doing it with Mars? These artists have made their fortunes on the merchandising.
About Mars, this is perfectly irrelevant and, until proven otherwise, the fans do not have to buy everything the band sells. Jared Leto even encouraged them to create their own visual identity by welcoming their inventiveness on T-shirts, jewelry and posters. He even asks how his fanbase would be willing to pay a particular item or a particular event broadcast on its network, the VyRT.
If Jared decides to allow his fans to contribute to the making of his new video, it’s to show them respect and to thank them for always being by his side and support him against all odds.
Attacks and criticism are easy, polemics swell very quickly as soon as the name of Jared Leto is mentioned but demonizing is a flagrant injustice.
Jared Leto is a complete artist, very talented, able to be involved in any art project related to music, film and graphic art.
There is no doubt that he still has a lot of things to show us, so let’s give him the time and opportunity to do so, without jumping on him at every opportunity.

The 39-year-old rocker and his band mates set the Guinness World Record for “Longest Concert Tour by a Rock Band”! The band has performed for two years at over three hundred shows.
The group even got a certificate from the Guinness folks!
“Thank you for the dreams. Thank you for the memories. And thank you for sharing this unforgettable adventure with us. It was the journey of a lifetime and we are so grateful to you all for that,”Jared wrote on his website.

NEW YORK — For a band that, over the past three years, has been no stranger to adversity — everything from battles with their label to scraps with censors and the occasional stage collapse — 30 Seconds to Mars
had probably never had to deal with the kind of trouble that occurred
during the encore of their record-setting show Wednesday night in New
York.
During the crashing crescendo of "Kings and Queens," a female fan was
crushed against a barricade and required immediate medical assistance.
"Queens" was the final song of the band's set, which was preceded by a
lengthy presentation from the folks at Guinness World Records, who
honored 30STM for Most Shows Played
During An Album Cycle (309 was Guinness' count). Jared Leto invited fans
to join them onstage for the finale. Spirits were high inside the
Hammerstein Ballroom, and as "Queens" unfolded, they only got higher ...
until Leto stopped the song and asked for medics to tend to the injured
fan. After 20 solemn minutes, EMTs carried her away on a stretcher.
"As
soon as she got oxygen, she sat up and is doing OK," 30STM's management
told MTV News after the show. After getting the all-clear, 30 Seconds
to Mars undauntedly finished the song and the night ended with the crowd
triumphantly chanting its "woah-oh-oh" hook while streamers fell from
the ceiling.
And not to downplay the severity of the situation,
but it helped illustrate everything that made 30 Seconds to Mars'
record-setting run with This Is War so unique. Their ability to
overcome obstacles, their willingness to push on, and the otherworldly
bond they share with their fans — displayed best when drummer Shannon
Leto left the stage to assist the EMTs.
The band had already
played more than 300 shows, and yet, they still pushed hard on
Wednesday, imbuing songs like "Search and Destroy" and "Night of the
Hunter" with walloping guitars, anthemic sing-along choruses and washes
of spooky synths. Jared sprinted up and down the catwalk stage (not easy
to do in a huge black cloak), shined a massive spotlight into the crowd
to illuminate fans' faces, and even performed a few acoustic numbers
mid-set. Shannon pounded his kit as sweat flew, and guitarist Tomo
Milicevic crunched chords and charmed ethereal soundscapes out of his
ax. It could have been show number one, not the final gig of a two-year
trek.
Of course, 30STM's fans matched, if not doubled, the band's
enthusiasm. There were signs in the audience touting the Detroit chapter
of the Echelon, and at one point, Leto brought a fan onstage who had
traveled all the way from Maryland. Every chorus was sung back to the
band loudly, each massive chant repeated at top volume, and the opening
chords of each new song greeted with squeals of delight. Fans reached
skyward as confetti fell, and ooh-ed and aah-ed as lasers shot from the
stage. This was definitely a celebration, in just about every
conceivable way.
Not surprisingly, the band seemed genuinely
touched and a tad nostalgic. Jared told fans that the Guinness award was
theirs, too, shouting, "I want everyone in here to carry this with them
for the rest of their lives," as he thrust the certificate above his
head.
As if their record-setting tour didn't already tip you off
to it, the rather frightening delay proved that 30STM are a band
seemingly at their best when forced to push on. And on. And on.
