Foo Fighters, Wolf Alice, Skunk Anansie, The Warning 2026-07-10 NOS Alive, Lisbon

Fri, July 10, 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal @ NOS Alive

It was a sold out show with 60.000 people.

I went to NOS Alive specifically to see The Warning and Foo Fighters. News first broke that The Warning would be playing at NOS Alive, which immediately prompted me to buy a ticket for the day of their performance. Shortly after, I was lucky enough to find out that Foo Fighters and Skunk Anansie were also playing on the same day. Naturally, I was thrilled—I had seen all these bands before, but it had been many years since I last saw Foo Fighters.

Here is the story of my adventure getting to the venue:

I woke up to an alarm at 3:00 AM to leave at 3:30 AM. I walked to Cais do Sodré, arriving at 4:20 AM. There was a night bus (201) leaving at 4:30 AM that went straight to Algés (specifically the Mercado de Algés stop). From there, it was about a 15-minute walk to the NOS Alive venue. However, I couldn't get across to the seaside; I remained on the inland side of the train tracks. I actually walked past the event site—which was on the other side of the road and the tracks—before turning back and discovering a tunnel that went under the tracks to the riverside. I arrived at the event site close to 5:30 AM.

At 11 a.m., security guards directed us a fair bit further up the road outside; we would be searched when entering at 3 p.m., and a little further along, we would need to show our entry tickets.

We got in at 3 PM. I started running toward the left side of the main stage. I made it to the spot near the corner where some friends of mine were—they had saved my place.

I wanted to be on the left side (looking to the stage) because Alejandra (bassist) from The Warning was always on the left side. And I made it. Happy here.

Shortly after taking my spot in the front row, we managed to get into the shade (the sun had moved behind the stage).

Scheduled times next.

The first band on stage was The Warning. They played for 57 minutes (18:00 - 18:57). Played a set of 14 songs.

The show was spectacular. It was my second time seeing them live. The first time was on April 5, 2024, at LAV-Lisboa Ao Vivo. This time, it was a major event—nothing like the first show, which had been at a very small venue with a capacity of only 1,200 people.

This time, they played three new songs from the upcoming album that hasn't been released yet.

I will write here the setlist:

01. MORE
02. S!CK
03. Satisfied
04. Qué más quieres
05. Escapism (Extended Outro)
06. Ego
07. MONEY
Intro 404
08. DISCIPLE
09. Ritual
10. Sharks
11. Hell You Call a Dream
12. EVOLVE
13. Kerosene
14. Automatic Sun (Extended Outro)

The second band was Skunk Anansie. They played for 53 minutes (19:37 - 20:30). Played a set of 11 songs.

The show started seven minutes late, which meant they had to cut one song from their planned setlist.

It was also my second time seeing them live. The first time was at the same venue under a different name (Optimus Alive!10) on July 9, 2010.

Lead singer "Skin" was full of energy, constantly jumping from side to side. Early in the show, she must have taken a hard knock to the mouth, as she was bleeding. She realized it after a song or two and even mentioned that she was bleeding, but managed to stop it with a towel.

While I was singing along to one of the songs mid-show, the lead singer, Skin, jumped down and came right over to where I was standing—I even managed to snap a photo of her facing me—and then she jumped into the crowd right next to me on my left. I helped her get over to my side. She continued singing as she moved a bit further into the crowd, followed by the security guards who jumped down in the same spot; even the cameraman and the guy holding his cables came over. It was a funny moment.
All the fans behind me were trying to catch a glimpse of her with their cameras. A little later, she came back to my side to cross over to the other side of the stage. I helped her across, and a security guard on the other side also grabbed her to make the crossing easier. Then she headed back to the stage. Naturally, her other security guards—and even the cameraman—had to cross over as well. It took some effort, but with our help, they managed to make it to the other side.

I will write here the setlist:

01. This Means War
02. Charlie Big Potato
03. Because of You
04. An Artist Is an Artist
05. God Loves Only You
06. Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)
07. Weak
08. Twisted (Everyday Hurts)
09. I Can Dream
10. Tear the Place Up
11. Little Baby Swastikkka

The third band was Wolf Alice. They played for 58 minutes (21:00 - 21:58). Played a set of 14 songs.

This was the only band I didn't know and had never seen live. I didn't look up any information about their music. But I noticed they had a song called "Lisbon." I was curious. During the show, the band didn't explain anything about the meaning behind my city's name.

I didn't find it anything special. It was an interesting sound. From what I gathered, they're a rock band—but different from the usual rock.

I will write here the setlist:

01. Bloom Baby Bloom
02. White Horses
03. Formidable Cool
04. Lisbon
05. Just Two Girls
06. How Can I Make It OK?
07. The Sofa
08. Bros
09. Bread Butter Tea Sugar
10. Yuk Foo
11. Play the Greatest Hits
12. Smile
13. The Last Man on Earth
14. Don't Delete the Kisses

The fourth band was Foo Fighters. They played for 153 minutes (22:45 - 01:18). Played a set of 24 songs.

It was my 3rd time watching them. The other 2 shows were so long ago. The 1st time was at Praça Sony (Expo 98) on June 22, 1998. The 2nd time was at Parque da Bela Vista (Rock In Rio) on May 30, 2004.

It was good to see them again. As I explained earlier, I hadn't seen them live in 22 years. This was the 1st time I saw them without Taylor Hawkings on drums. We miss him so much.

The show was spectacular. It’s always great to hear the songs we listened to so much over the last few decades. Dave Grohl talked a lot between songs, and he was clearly happy, moving all across the stage.

Before "Exhausted", lead singer Dave Grohl pointed at me and said, "I saw you on the news. Yeah. You're on the f.cking news today." It was pretty funny. I had been interviewed twice that day: the first time was just before noon—which aired at the end of the 1:00 PM news on SIC—and then again while I was in my front-row seat, shortly before 6:00 PM (when The Warning started).

I will write here the setlist:

01. All My Life
02. The Pretender

06. My Hero
07. Learn to Fly
